Manhattan Place Entertainment shot, directed, and executed the production design for the New York Giants “Resiliency” piece that aired during the team introductions on FOX Sports telecast of Super Bowl XLII.

This production could’ve been entitled "48 hours” said Steve Cohen (MPE’s owner, who did the design, shot, and directed the piece) “because that was the amount of time we had from concept through to completion”. “The easy part was coordinating the crew and equipment, the harder part was coming up with a workable production design worthy of airing in a Super Bowl telecast with less than 36 hours until the first camera rolled”.

Cohen further described the concept for the piece in this way, “We created the illusion of a press conference which was intended to play off of the idea that the Giants had been maligned all season long by the media. In this setting, the players were literally and figuratively given a platform to answer their critics from”. “As it turned out they took it one step further by defeating New England in the Super Bowl.”

Everyone loved the way it turned out” said Pete Macheska, Game Producer of The World Series on FOX, who pinch hit as field producer on this piece. He said jokingly, “I tried to take all of the credit for how well the piece turned out, but had to admit to everyone here that it was all you guys!” “Great Job pulling it off”

In addition to the “Resiliency” piece, MPE shot 7 additional features that aired on the Super Bowl XLII telecast. Over the last 12 years Manhattan Place has been the main “go to” production company on numerous Teases, Opens, and Features for all of FOX Sports most important telecasts including (4) Super Bowls, (5) Daytona 500’s, and (12) World Series.
